Ought to say I started and played a lot of airsoft under the command of Jon and Steve Ashworth in 1Sdn , this group has an excellent start given that they are prepared to lead it . :good:
I suspect this will become one of the stronger teams in the WW2 world if you can all pull together, best of luck guys , you couldn't ask for a better command team .

I'm blushing

Thanks for those kind word and for your name suggestions (I think) :?

A lot of them relate to the 101st and I don't want our 82nd commrades feeling left out - they've enough to contend with at having a crap badge :P . I'd like something catchy like PBI or The Doughboys, but I'm struggling at the moment - best I've found is:

Warriors with Wings
Devils in Baggy Trousers (more related to 504th)

Warriors "with Wings" ?....LOL reminds me more of Sanitary Protection , perhaps you could be known as "the Jamrag's "...would suit well if you intended to play monthly ..

Pers Like Yiths ideas , is there anything specifically Airborne about the kit you could base it around ?

"Sky Dragons" ( :ghey: )

Sounds like one of the teams of Dodgeball haha

I vote for Spears, he is the most "airborne" guy I know of

I'll take that as a compliment haha

I vote for Spears, he is the most "airborne" guy I know of besides Webby. :D

Odd that he's not been around these parts! Perhaps he's been lurking, sat on his hands! I'd second that nomination :good:

I would love to guys, and it seems like a good idea however I have a lot on my plate at the moment, between university and family etc so I'll have to politely decline...and also as Biguk said I am part of Dog Company. Not that it makes a difference, I will however support the cause once it gets up and running and will lend a hand in anyway I can.

OK, shall we try to keep the ball rolling here.

Get a name sorted. There are plenty of good suggestions above. Once that's decided Chommers can set up a new forum area and we can all start talking about kit requirements and getting a training day sorted.

Nothing wrong with asking about teaming up with the Doughboys for this either I reckon. We could run separate training sessions then use one another as OPFORs.

Meh, training will be the same for both units, so we can train together.

Unless we intend to jump out of aircraft or land in a glider!

The Doughboy's training day is 10th May at F&O. There's already some Germans booked in on the same day as us to use as Op For.

Sorry for the delay in getting things sorted - I've started a poll to choose a name from the best 3 suggestions. Once that's out of the way, Steve and I will get all the admin stuff sorted and then look at a date for out first 'event'.
